Abstract
A young patient presented with sudden visual loss RE. The BCVA RE was HMCF and LE was 6/9.The anterior segment was unremarkable. No fundal view due to vitreous haemorrhage in RE, large multiple RCH in LE. USG B scan of RE revealed a large solid tumour inferotemporally with 5 smaller tumours. Labelled as VHL. Patient underwent RE PPV with creation of PVD, endo coagulation of feeder vessels and cauterization of tumours under PFCL. The coagulated tumours were removed using vitrector and endolaser delimitation done, followed by silicon oil infusion. Post-op BCVA RE was 6/12. Similar procedure done in LE with post-op BCVA of 6/6. Patient reported 3 months later with BCVA RE 3/60. Noted to have temporal SRF and underwent Re-VR surgery with retinectomy and SOI. 4 months after the initial surgery in LE patient underwent successful SOR. Patient has now been observed for more than 18 month and continues to have BCVA in RE of 6/60 and LE 6/6 with retained silicon oil in RE.
