Abstract

This video presents the management of two major complications in cataract surgery i.e. aphakia and subluxation through simple and indigenous ways. It also includes a novel IOL scleral fixation technique i.e. sutureless, glueless and can be performed through 3.2 mm corneal incision without use of any microforceps and has been recently acknowledged by American academy of Ophthalmology. This presentation also unravels various new dimensions of 9-0 prolene suture for intraocular refixation of subluxated Toric and Multifocal lenses thus obviating the need of IOL explant and exchange. These techniques can be used in selective cases to yield desired results.
