Abstract
A 20 year old female patient presented with a limbal Dermoid in the right eye since childhood, gradually increasing in size. Her presenting visual acuity in the right eye was 6/12 and left eye was 6/6. The Dermoid was approximately 4 X 5 mm in size.
Under local anaesthesia, the Dermoid was excised by lamellar dissection using a crescent blade. The thinned out cornea and sclera was then patched using 2 SMILE lenticules which were stuck using glue. The corneal part was then dyed using gold and silver dyes. The peritomy was closed and a BCL was placed. Post operatively, her visual acuity in the right eye improved to 6/9 unaided improving to 6/6 with pinhole.
