Abstract
Study Design: Case report
Purpose: To study clinical profile of pseudofoster kennedy syndrome due to BE NAAION associated with obstructive sleep apnea.
Method:A 53yr male presented with C/O DOV in LE since 1 month which was painless, sudden in onset, progressive in nature. Past history diagnosed RE NAAION 6 yrs back & k/c/o hypertension. RAPD of RE present. Investigations done.
Result:On general examination patient was obese &BMI 35. STOPBANG SCORE is 8. Fundus-RE Pale disc & LE disc oedema. Oct LE Optic disc-optic disc edema.Green colour deficiency present. Contrast sensitivity decreased. HFA shows inferior altitudinal defect. MRI Brain shows few lacunar infarcts in B/L front parietal subcortical white matter& centrum semiovale, partial empty sella& mild thinning of RE optic nerve.
Conclusion-Clinical& Lab finding are suggestive of pseudofoster kennedy syndrome due to BE NAAION due to risk factor nocturnal hypotension done by obstructive sleep apnea &having small vessel disease.
