Abstract
Background: Ocular sarcoidosis is a chronic multisystemic granulomatous disorder involving any part of the eye. We report a case of a 16-year-old female with anterior chamber cells 3+ and hyphaema and posterior synechiae in the right eye with a normal fundus examination. The anterior segment was revealed, and the fundus was normal in the Left Eye. An investigation was advised to rule out all the causes of hyphaema. Chest x-ray revealed mediastinal lymphadenopathy, and ESR was elevated. Mantoux and ACE levels were normal. The patient has been referred to pulmonary medicine, where she was diagnosed as having sarcoidosis by bronchoscopy-guided biopsy. The patient was started on topical steroids and cycloplegics, and a complete resolution of hyphaema was noted.
