Abstract
A 49-year-old male presented with a supraorbital swelling in the right eye following accidental trauma neglected for 4 months. The swelling was mobile and hard and exhibited no pain or ocular involvement. X-ray and CT scan head+orbit revealed a hyperdense rounded metallic foreign body of 5 cm, identified as an air rifle pellet. Surgical removal was performed via incision 2 mm below the eyebrow. Unlike inert metallic foreign bodies, organic materials like wood pose significant risks, including infections and abscesses. Accurate diagnosis by examination and CT scan is essential. Treatment planning hinges on the nature, location, and complications related to the foreign body.
