Abstract
Study design:Retrospective
Purpose:To assess brolucizumab(BZB) anatomic and functional efficacy and estimate BZB-related adverse events
Methods:From October’20 to January’24,450 eyes(390 patients) received 926 BZB injection for retinal and choroidal pathologies.Age,gender, visual acuity(VA) pre and post-injection,diagnosis and injection interval was recorded.Post-injection VA and anatomy was seen by OCT including central subfield thickness(CSFT),intraretinal fluid (IRF),subretinal fluid (SRF),and pigment epithelial detachment(PED) and incidence of BZB-related adverse event was noted
Results:In 450 eyes,30% was treatment-naïve.Significant decrease in CSFT and complete resolution in PED, SRF and IRF was observed in a significant cases of retinal and choroidal disease(p<0.05).VA gain was significant in retinal disease.2 cases of intraocular inflammation and 1 of retinal vasculitis noted
Conclusion:BZB resulted in significant functional and anatomical gain in retinal and choroidal diseases
