Abstract
Purpose/background:Dermoid cyst is a benign cutaneous developmental anomaly that arises from the entrapment of ectodermal elements along the lines of embryonic closure.
Methods:Data(clinical features,FNAC,Multislice HDCT of Paranasal sinuses and histopathology report)from a patient with swelling over right zygomatic frontal suture
Results:A 13 year old male patient presented with a painless swelling of size 5x5cm at right zygomatic frontal suture since birth.CT reported a hypodense cystic lesion adjacent to lateral wall of right orbit sebaceous cyst.FNAC of rich cellular smears revealed of anucleate squamous with focal deposition of keratin debris suggestive of epidermoid cyst.At surgery an ovoid cyst measuring 2.5×1.8×1.5cm was removed. The histopathological evaluation of the cyst revealed Dermoid cyst
Case summary:Patient with slow growing, painless swelling at the right zygomatic frontal suture since birth suggestive of dermoid cyst.
