Abstract
Background : Patient Specific Implants are custom manufactured implants designed using CT Scans with the normal side being mirrored to the abnormal side through 3D printing.
Case Summary : A 25 year old male patient with a history of RTA with bilateral multiple orbital bone fractures was advised for a left orbital reconstruction elsewhere but did not undergo the same. He presented after an year with complaints of a smaller looking face on the left side. On examination he had left eye enophthalmos and facial asymmetry due to a decreased malar eminence on the left side. Imaging showed that the old fractures of the left orbit had all malunited with a rim and floor fracture with muscle entrapment. He had restriction of extraocular movements and diplopia in the upgaze. Since it was an uneven fracture, difficult to reconstuct, a Patient Specific Implant was used to fix the fractures which provided a good surgical outcome.
