Abstract
70 years old female patient came to ophthalmology OPD with complaints of lower lid swelling in RE since 2 months which was insidious in onset and gradually progressive and painless.
BCVA BE-6/24p
On slit lamp examination oval shaped lobulated swelling with multiple yellow pinpointed out pouching with ulcerated conjunctival side measuring about 6×4 mm.
On Palpation there was no tenderness, mass was mobile, skin over the mass was shiny but no excoriation was present.Transillumination test was negative.
Punctual & sac patency maintained which was assessed with bowmen’s lacrimal probe. No palpable submental and submandibular lymphnodes.
Anterior segment examination revealed immature senile cataract in both eyes. Rest of the anterior and posterior segment examination of both eyes were within normal limit.
Local excision of mass done with bowmens probe in-situ and excised mass has been sent for biposy.
Histopathology of the mass showed meibomian gland carcinoma with pagetoid spread
