Abstract
study design – cross-sectional study.
methods- study conducted amongst school-going children aged 10-17 years, presenting in OPD with complaints of visual disturbances and related symptoms, between January to March 2023 History taken about digital devices for attending online classes total 116 children selected for the study. Compared data from a similar cohort database from January to March 2019
Results -From January to March 2023 total of 178 children presented in OPD with complaints of visual disturbances and asthenopia symptoms. From January to March 2019, a total of 122 children presented with complaints of visual disturbances, and 116 were selected randomly for the study
conclusion-During the COVID-19 pandemic, Impact of digital devices is a major challenge A better approach would be shorter duration of online classes and frequent breaks, educating the parents of such children and encouragement to participate in outdoor activities.
