Abstract
A 29 year old gentleman, residing in a densely populated locality within a city North india presented with complaints of sudden onset painless diminution of vision R/E X 3 days, central black spot in front of right eye for 3 days. Patient had hypopigmented patches on his right eye lower lid along with 2 patches on right side of face for; he was diagnosed to have segmental vitiligo and started taking treatment from a local practitioner; long term topical steroid cream for the same lesions. Visual acuity in right eye was 6/120, colour vision defective, poliosis of the lower lid, RAPD grade 3, anterior chamber showed +0.5 cells, Disc: Elevated with Obscured disc margins and hyperaemia, diffused macular edema with striae, dilated and tortuous vessels; foveal reflex absent; foveal contour blunted with striae and macular oedema, OCT macula: neurosensory detachment with cystoid macular edema. L/E anterior segment and fundus within normal limits.
