Abstract

Prospective observational study,To study OCT findings in patients of TBM and relation with visual function,All consecutive patients of TBM who presented in the OPD were included,A total of 52 patients were included in the study,In early stages of the disease ,there is swelling of the nerve fibres.This causes increase in RNFL thickness than the normal.This change is more marked in peripapillary area as RNFL is thickest here.since RNFL is thin at macula,so edema is less marked ,causing less change in retinal thickness at macula,There was no decrease in visual acuity of the patient
