Abstract
STUDY DESIGN:1.5 year long observational, correlational & cross-sectional study.
PURPOSE
1. Measure ACA using AS OCT and correlate ACA with ACD
2. Correlate ACA with AL
3. Correlate ACA with degree of hypermetropia
METHODS:
This study was conducted on a total of 188 patients, of age 30-50y and hypermetropia upto +8 Dioptre. AS OCT was done, & angle and depth of the anterior chamber measured by the AS OCT tools; ACD tool in Anterior Chamber Scan and Angle tool in Wide Angle to Angle Scan. Nasal & Temporal angle of each eye was calculated and average angle taken. Axial length was measured by A scan(immersion)
RESULTS
We obtained a significant positive correlation between ACA with ACD (r= 0.812, p<0.001),
positive correlation between ACA and AL (r=0.751, p<0.001), and negative correlation between degree of hypermetropia and ACA. (r= -0.87, p <0.01).
CONCLUSION
Angle was found to correlate positively with depth of chamber and axial length, and negatively with degree of hypermetropia.
