Data collected was Demographic features, type of Scleritis by Watson's classification, investigations, treatment and complications. Demographic data included age of onset, gender and laterality. Ocular complications were documented like decrease in vision, peripheral keratitis, ocular hypertension, anterior uveitis and others. Related Laboratory tests were performed. Diffuse anterior scleritis was the most common type of scleritis followed by nodular scleritis. Among the systemic disease associations Rheumatoid arthritis was the commonest. Topical steroids is the most common treatment used.
Our study provides real-world practical data on the spectrum of causes of scleritis and useful data on the clinical features of scleritis and mode of treatment.
