Abstract
A patient in his late 30’s, Sturge Weber Syndrome, Left eye PL – ve with failed Trab & Valve Placement, Exotropia, Right eye IOP = 26 mm/Hg after 5 Anti Glaucoma Medications.
Trabeculectomy has complications like choroidal-detachment and hypotony. Ahmed Glaucoma valve is bulky, requires long learning curve with many complications.
So, we decided to implant OMNIFLO- A new and smaller glaucoma drainage device that drains from anterior chamber to the retrobulbar space that is almost free from myofibroblasts.
After surgery IOP = 12 mm/Hg on Brimonidine only, BCVA – 6/12
Conclusion: OMNIFLO is a great choice in the most refractory of Open Angle Glaucomas like Sturge – Weber Syndrome.
