Abstract

Methods
To evaluate the treatment of myopia in patients with pre exisiting corneal opacity, 3 patients (2 males, 1 female) who underwent ReLEX SMILE were enrolled in this prospective clinical study/ case series .. Uncorrected distance visual acuity (UDVA), corrected distance visual acuity (CDVA), contrast sensitivity, ASOCT , point spread function, and aberrometry were noted before and after surgery. Depth and density of the corneal opacities were measured by anterior segment optical coherence tomography (AS-OCT) and the Pentacam anterior eye segment analyzer.

Results
All procedures were uneventful and no intraoperative complications were observed. UCVA of all patients was 6/6 or better and no patients had any loss in Snellen lines. . There was no eccentric corneal topography or abnormal morphology in the corneal cap.
