Abstract
Anterior vitrectomy is the first step in all vitrectomy procedures. But in phakik eyes complete anteroir vitrectomy poses a cgallenge as there is risk of injury of posterior lens capsule. Hence a thin layer of vitreous is left adjacent to posterior lens capsule. This layer of left over vitreous may lead to contracture and formation of capsular thickening. Our novel technique of bubble assisted anterior vitrectomy helps to remove this thin vitreous layer safely without injuring posterior lens capsule.
