Abstract
STUDY DESIGN: Repetitive Observational Study
PURPOSE: To determine the efficacy of isolated Human limbal cell functional proteins treated onto Amniotic membrane epithelial cells to transdifferentiate in vitro into Limbal epithelial cells.
METHODS: Amniotic membrane epithelial cells derived from human amniotic membrane are tuned into limbal epithelial cells using exosomes derived from limbal tissue of donor eyeball. Characterization and analysis of limbal epithelial cells is done by Western Blot and Transmission electron microscopy.
RESULTS: Phenotypic characterization and molecular marker analysis of limbal epithelial cells confirmed by Transmission Electron Microscopy and Western Blot.
CONCLUSION: Human amniotic membrane epithelial cells derived from limbal cell components show molecular characterization of limbal epithelial cells.
