Abstract

Single case of 6 year old, who presented to us with right eye convergent squint. Examination revealed no perception of light in right eye. Microcornea along with absent direct and consensual pupillary reaction. Right eye fundus examination revealed avascular whitish area present at presumed optic disc location with no retinal vessels seen at disc area or elsewhere. Diffuse area of pigment epithelial atrophy with barring of large choroidal vessels was seen. Ultrasound B-scan showed absence of optic nerve in Right Eye and Axial Length of 24.59 mm (2 mm more than left eye). MRI corroborated absence of right optic nerve in intra-orbital and intracranial part and no central nervous system or systemic anomaly. Left eye was normal with vision of 6/6.
