Abstract
Purpose: to compare scheimpflug system and ASOCT based system in assessment of corneal ectasia to enhance patient selection for refractive surgery cases and diagnose early KC
Methods: 50 patients were assessed on both machines which included 20 cases of ectasia and 30 preoperative refractive cases
Results: There is a difference in the scoring systems in both the equipments. They are not interchangeable in use because of the difference in the parameters measured for assessing ectasia
conclusion: Total Score and Kc staging both are equally important parametrs in assessing KC and for patient selection in preop refractive cases
