Abstract

Material and methods- it is clinical study done in patients of chronic dacryocystitis. It is a prospective study design. All the patients were divided into groupA and group B using lottery method. Group A underwent DCR with tube implantation and GroupB underwent external DCR. Success of DCR surgery was measured by sac latency on doing syringing during follow up. Result-total of 84 patients were taken , 42 patients in each group. Mean age of patient was 54.12 years. Mean duration of surgery in GroupA was 64.4 mins and in Group B was 60.35 mins. Success rate in group A was 95.23% and in group B was 88.09%.
