Abstract
Purpose: To evaluate the clinical presentation, management, and outcomes of patients diagnosed with ocular pyogenic granuloma.
Study design: Retrospective case series.
Methods: Consecutive 30 cases diagnosed clinically and histopathologically were included.
Results: A total of 30 patients (15 male , 15 female, mean age 24.5years) were included in the study. Patients had a history of painless gradual progressing mass, or history of surgery preceding to the development of the lesion. The main management protocol in our study was surgical excision. No patients undergoing surgical excision had any occurrence.
Conclusion: Ocular pyogenic granuloma is a benign vascular lesion that can occur secondary to trauma or surgery. Early diagnosis and appropriate management are crucial for optimal outcomes and prevention of recurrences
