Abstract
Study design: Prospective, interventional study. Purpose:To study efficacy & safety of GATT in PACG.Methods:74 PACG pts underwent Phaco-GATT. IOP,BCVA & no.of AGMs at 2 weeks, 1month, 3&6 months from baseline was evaluated. Results: 84 eyes of 74 pts underwent Phaco-GATT. Mean (SD)IOP decreased from 21.13(6.31) to 12.62(5.31), 12.79(4.16),12.79(4.16), 12.68(3.20) &12.65(2.97) at 2 weeks, 1 months, 3 & 6 months respectively (p<0.001). Median BCVA improved from 0.18(0.18 to 0.48) to 0.00(0.00 to 0.00) by last follow-up (p<0.001).Mean (SD) AGMs reduced from 1.93(0.95) to 0.14(0.44),0.19 (0.48),0.14(0.41) & 0.17(0.46) at 2 weeks,1,3& 6 months respectively (p <0.001).Complete success (IOP ≥6 & ≤18 mmHg & > 30% IOP reduction from baseline without AGM) was 70.7%.3 pts had IOP spike, 3 and 2 micro & macro hyphemas, 1 epithelial defect. AC wash was in 1 pt. Conclusion:Combined Phaco-GATT in PACG proved to be effective for good IOP control with good surgical success.
