Abstract
DESIGN:Case report
PURPOSE:Reporting a case of recurrent giant ethmoidalosteoma with intraorbital extension
METHODS:A42year/F presented with complaints of proptosis&pain in RE since3months.13yrs back she got diagnosed with RE gaint ethmoidal osteoma(size3.5 *2cm onCTorbits)extending into orbit then underwent medial orbitotomy+ excision, diagnosis confirmed byHPE.
ON EXAMINATION:RE-vision 6/24,fullness of lids with axial proptosis,EOM-restriction on elevation,dextro&levoelevation,lagopthalomos,hertles4mm more than LE,retropulsion test positive.Anterior segment exam is normal.NOSE-DNS towards left&no visible swellings.CTorbits-osteosclerotic lesion involving B/Lethmoidalsinus&intraorbital extension compressing MR.
RESULT: FESS+medial orbitotomy+orbital decompression done by ENTsurgeon&HPE confirms ethmoidalosteoma. postop proptosis reduced significantly.
CONCLUSION:osteoma of PNSthough common ethmoidalosteoma is very rare&gaint osteoma with recurrence as seen in my case are further rare
