Abstract
Study design-Prospective Randomize Observational comparative study
Purpose:-1.To compare the effects of different NSAID’S on mydriasis preoperatively. 2.To evaluate the effects of various NSAID’S on maintenance of mydriasis during surgery.3. To study adverse drug reaction of different NSAID’S
Methods:-This study specifically intended to measure the horizontal pupillary diameter at the beginning and end of surgery to compare the total loss and percentage total loss of mydriasis between Flurbiprofen and Nepafenac and bromfenac .
Results:-there was 0.45 mm decrease in average pupillary diameter with group A ( nepafenac ), 0.33 mm with group B ( bromfenac ) and 1.60 mm with group C ( flurbiprofen ).
•The study demostrates that bromfenac and nepafenac are statistically more effective in maintaining mydriasis than flurbiprofen.
Conclusion:-In nsaids bromfenac and nepafenac are better than flurbiprofen in maintaining intraoperative mydriasis
