Abstract

Surgical technique:perforation was measured with the help of callipers, wound edges were freshened gently with the help of 15 no blade. Conjunctival peritomy was done in the supero-temporal quadrant of the eye and separated from the tenon’s tissue by blunt dissection. The tenon’s tissue, of applicable size, was attained. The gathered tenon’s tissue was cut into a small piece and applied on the perforated area after the application of glue to plug the perforation. The tissue was massaged gently using iris repositor. Now a bigger tenons piece was cut and placed over the affected area. An overlay suture using 10-0 ethilon monofilament was passed over the unaffected cornea making one side of the triangle first and placing the next pass adjacent to the first passed suture making the other side of the triangle followed by the last pass to complete the trefoil shape. A single knot is formed in trefoil suture and can be easily buried. post op antibiotic steroid combination drops given.
