Abstract

59 year old female presented with diminution of vision in Right eye since 2 week , gradual onset ,progressive with pain not subsided with medication .Patient gave history of application of local pain killer gel over forehead and over eyelid .On examination vision was perception of light with projection of rays present .On anterior segment examination almost total corneal infiltrate with non visuality of other details , posterior segment was normal , corneal Scraping came negative for staining and culture.Patient underwent therapeutic keratoplasty with Amniotic membrane graft , post op uneventful , corneal button no growth till 1 month .after 2 week of surgery , patient started decrease in vision and whitening of graft ,loosening of suture and graft failure by the end of 3 week post surgery .This case represent even small thing whic are using daily in routine most of the people can turn up into life threatening visual complication which cant be reversed , which happened unexpectedly .
