Abstract
Purpose : To evaluate the initial safety and efficacy of intravitreal Faricimab in various retinal conditions like DME ; nAMD and RVO.
Methods: Retrospective review of all patients treated with Faricimab at a tertiary eye care centre form north India.
Results: 23 eyes of 17 patients were included in the study. All patients received at least one injection Faricimab and completed minimum 3 months of follow-up. There was a significant improvement in mean best corrected visual acuity and central sub-foveal thickness. At the last clinical visit, 73 % of eyes had no sub retinal or intra retinal fluid on OCT. The mean dosing interval between the intravitreal injections was 10 weeks. There was no incidence of any intraocular inflammation in eyes treated with Faricimab.
Conclusion: Faricimab is safe and effective drug in managing various retinal conditions like DME, nAMD and RVO. The mean dosing interval was longer than ranibizumab and aflibercept. No significant adverse event was reported.
