Abstract
The purpose of this video is to highlight the role of bleomycin injection therapy in the management of lymphatic venous malformations (LVMs).
It will outline the composition, preparation, indications, technique of injection and the potential complications associated with the usage of bleomycin in lymphatic venous malformations (LVMs).
The use of bleomycin injection in a 15-year-old female and a 2-year-old male with unilateral lymphatic venous malformation (LVM) of the orbit and periocular region showed a substantial reduction in the size of the lesion and significant improvement in cosmesis, following three to four sessions of treatment.
The management of lymphatic venous malformations with bleomycin injection, also with a combined usage of triamcinolone acetonide, in refractory cases, might yield promising outcomes, especially in cases with extensive facial and periorbital involvement where surgery is not feasible.
