Abstract
Aim: To study clinical profile and surgical outcomes of microincision PPV for ODP Maculopathy
Materials and Methods: In this ambispective, observational study, eligible patients were distributed in 2 groups: Group 1= PPV+ILM PEELING +SF6; Group 2=MIXED GROUP OF PPV+/-SCLERAL GRAFT+/-GLUE+SF6. Patients were followed up at 1,3 and 6 months.
Results: 20 patients were recruited for the study. 12 patients were in group 1 and 8 patients in group 2. Mean LogMAR VA has improved from 1.05 to 0.57 in 20 patients after 6 month postop. There was significant improvement in anatomical outcomes on OCT (p<0.01). There was no significant difference between the 2 groups in logmar VA, schisis height, CMT, SRF height and schisis extent, however significant difference was noted in change in SRF extent in group 1 vs group 2 (p=0.021).
Conclusion: Both PPV AND PPV+ILM peeling are beneficial in improving the visual outcome of patients with ODP-M.
